This website is meant to encourage people to become more environmentally friendly and spread awareness. Some issues to take into consideration include: growing landfills, climate change, and illegal wildlife crime. This website also contains a special tool to help you reduce unnecessary waste. You will be introduced to interesting and helpful tools that can be utilized to help save our world. If you are a busy person, you can also find organizations on this website to help climate change in the easiest away possible: DONATING!
Our world is full of landfill waste, and this waste is detrimental to the environemnt in which it resides. Landfill sites are ugly, and our constant use of non-biodegradable products negatively impact the world. Some waste products contain toxins which contaminate our soil, and cause plants to die. Plants are essential to the Earth because they absorb carbon dioxide, release oxygen, and provide food and nutrients for animals and people .
As more and more endangered animals die off, food chains around the world are disrupted causing even more species to die. Less biodiversity in the world creates imbalanced ecosystems resulting in the extinction of more and more species. So, it is vital that endengered species are protected, and we take precautions to keep animals from becoming endangered.
Even the littlest things help. So, next time you buy a car, go electric! Electric cars have many benefits. They are easier to maintain and do not emmit harmful pollutants. Better air quality will lead to less health problems and a decrease in the economic costs caused by air pollution. To reduce your greenhouse gas emissions even further, you can use renewable energy to recharge your electric vehicle!

What is Climate Change?
Climate change is the change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular, a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onward and attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. THIS IS A REAL OCCURANCE! Climate change can affect the climate system which includes the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, biosphere, and the litmosphere resulting in new weather patterns.
What is Climate Change in Today's Age?
The last ice age markded the start of the modern climate era as well as the start of human civilization. Since the end of the ice age, natural global warming has occured. But, the global warming trend in the present day is more than 95% likely to be the result of human activity from the mid-20th century, and this current trend is quite faster than the rate of the post-ice age natural warming. A main cause of the global warming aspect of climate change is greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide.
What is Air Pollution?
Air pollution, also known as smog, is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. Dust, pollen, car emissions, and chemicals from factories are some examples of solid particles. Ozone is an example of an unstable toxic gas in the atmosphere. Both human activity and natural processes can generate air pollution.
What is Air Polltuion in Today's Age?
Almost everyone in the world drives cars, and this creates exhaust. The exhaust from cars rises into the atmosphere and contaminates the air. Air pollution, which can be both indoors and outdoors, can become so hazardous that people can experience extreme health issues. Older adults, people with a heart or lung disease, and children are at greater risks of the effects of air pollution. Air pollution can also harm animals and food crops.
An easy step to start with when helping global warming is to Waste less water. Take shorter showers, don't leave the sink on, take showers instead of baths, etc. Buy LED bulbs because they save energy. Don't use energy when you don't need it. Publicize the problems in the environment to spread awareness (kind of like what this site is doing!)
To help with climate change, limit your fossil fuels use. Carpool to work, use public transportation, etc. Eat more veggies! Consider going vegetarian, vegan, or consuming less meat in general. Plant some trees! Install solar panels on your roof to increase the use of renewable energy like solar power. Solar panels also save money in the long term and are eco-friendly
Make sure you are recycling and using recycled paper goods (check out our hand-dandy app for this). Use less paper and make more of your work digital.
If you have ever wondered if you are throwing away your waste into the right trash can, you came to the right place!
Waste is thrown into the wrong trash can all the time, and this is not good for the environment. For example, tossing recycling products into the black trash bin will prevent the products from being recycled, resulting in unnecessary burning. This app allows you to search a waste product to find out which trash bin to use.

Here are some links to non-profits that help combat climate change:
This site stands for efficient and clean energy for all to eliminate the use of harmful fossil fuels. They aim to keep carbon in the ground, help build a low-carbon economy, and encourage governments to limit emissions.
The Enviornment Defense Club strives to protect the environment through strong science and economics to create legislation that sparks a clean energy economic boom. They also work to limit fertilizer pollution.
The Sierra Club Foundation works to better the health of the plant and the human race with climate solutions. They promote the retirement of coal plants and encourage investments in colar and wind technology.
Union of Concernded Scientitsts
The Union of Concerned Scientists encourages entire industries to use more efficient methods of energy and food production. The organization does not accept funding from the government or corporations because they prefer individual member support.
I am 15-years-old, and I live in Arleta. I currently attend John H. Francis Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley. I enjoy running, and so, I ran the 2018 LA marathon and joined my school's track and field team. On the track and field team, I run the relays, the 100, and do long jump. On the weekends, I volunteer at Discovery Cube LA and my temple. One of my pet peeves is when people do not recycle bottles and cans, which is why I have decided to use the environment for the theme of this project. You can contact me at: "panaraipg@gmail.com"
